We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Manager - Quality Control to join our team in Nigeria and drive our commitment to safety, efficacy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise all Quality Control laboratory operations, including chemical, microbiological, and instrumental analysis.
  • Ensure rigorous testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products against approved specifications.
  • Review and approve laboratory results, Certificates of Analysis (CoA), and comprehensive test reports.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory frameworks including GMP, GLP, WHO, and NAFDAC guidelines.
  • Oversee the calibration, qualification, and routine maintenance of sophisticated laboratory equipment.
  • Lead thorough investigations into Out-of-Specification (OOS), Out-of-Trend (OOT), and deviations, ensuring timely closure and documentation.
  • Develop, review, and continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test methods, and product specifications.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate QC staff to foster a high-performance culture focused on data integrity.
  • Support internal and external audits, collaborating seamlessly with Production and Quality Assurance departments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field; a Master’s degree is a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Extensive knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regional regulatory standards such as NAFDAC and WHO.
  • Proven hands-on experience utilizing advanced analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, and UV Spectrophotometers.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a relentless attention to detail.
