About the Role
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is seeking a driven and analytical Associate Banker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to all phases of the project cycle, supporting sustainable economic transitions and private sector development. Working alongside senior bankers, you will gain hands-on experience in structuring high-impact investments and managing complex financial portfolios.
Key Responsibilities- Work as an active project team member on transactions, contributing to all aspects of project structuring, execution, and client management.
- Drive the scope and quality of comprehensive due diligence, including financial, market, integrity, and regulatory compliance assessments.
- Prepare internal project documentation, such as approval memoranda, financial models, draft term sheets, and presentations.
- Take responsibility for project implementation and monitoring, assessing evolving risk factors and ensuring strict compliance with agreements.
- Assist with business development and marketing efforts to identify viable investment opportunities and expand our operational pipeline.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent professional experience strongly preferred.
- Professional finance qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are highly desirable.
- Strong quantitative skills with proven proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis, and interpreting financial statements.
- Relevant financial industry experience from an investment bank, commercial bank, private equity, asset management, or international auditing firm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
