Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, a prestigious member of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), is looking for an ambitious and talented legal professional to join our expanding team. As a globally connected firm with access to over 100 independent law firms across 180 major commercial centers, we offer a stimulating environment for legal practitioners handling complex domestic and cross-border transactions. We are currently seeking a dedicated Associate to contribute to our continued excellence in client service and legal representation.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide actionable advisory opinions to corporate clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution forums as required.
- Manage client portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of legal services across various practice areas.
- Collaborate with senior partners and international correspondent firms on cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Stay abreast of legislative changes and regulatory updates affecting Nigerian commerce and industry.
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Barrister at Law (BL) degrees with strong academic credentials.
- Master of Laws (LLM) or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of active post-call experience in a recognized commercial law firm.
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate commercial law, litigation, or regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional analytical, drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment.
