About the Role
Artee Group, a leading retail powerhouse in Nigeria operating renowned brands such as SPAR, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Store Manager. In this second-in-command role, you will support the Store Manager in delivering profitable, disciplined, and customer-focused store operations while championing our commitment to adding value beyond limits.
Key Responsibilities- Translate store targets and priorities into actionable daily plans for supervisors and floor teams across sales, customer experience, and stock availability.
- Conduct structured floor walks to monitor service standards, queue conditions, and ensure the accurate execution of promotional and seasonal initiatives.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, stock rotation, and efficient receiving-to-shelf flow while driving the reduction of shrinkage, damages, and wastage.
- Coordinate optimal staffing and shift deployment to match trading patterns, coaching supervisors to enhance team productivity and service delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cash controls, health and safety regulations, and loss prevention protocols.
- Assume full leadership of store operations in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless business continuity.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Retail, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of retail management experience, preferably within a fast-paced supermarket, hypermarket, or retail chain environment.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth, managing shrinkage, and optimizing inventory control.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience in workforce deployment, coaching, and performance management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, commercial awareness, and attention to detail.
