About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Vitacillin, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Quality Assurance Manager. Working at our ultra-modern manufacturing plant in Ikeja, Lagos, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and affordable healthcare products to millions of consumers across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Pharmaceutical Quality Management System (QMS).
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices (GDP), and other regulatory standards.
- Review and approve batch manufacturing and packaging documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality specifications.
- Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances, out-of-specification results, customer complaints, and drive effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Participate in internal, supplier, and regulatory audits while supporting change control and environmental monitoring activities.
- Provide GMP training and foster a strong quality culture across production, laboratory, and warehouse teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Must possess 3 to 5 years of proven quality assurance experience within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of GMP, GDP, QMS, risk management, root-cause analysis, and audit processes.
