As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Assistant Purchasing Manager to join our team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring our operations run seamlessly by managing procurement processes, maintaining inventory levels, and upholding our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee end-to-end procurement operations, managing the purchasing and inventory of general merchandise to guarantee optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and hotel management to align purchasing activities with specific operational needs and quality standards.
- Manage and cultivate strong supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing, place accurate orders, and guarantee timely delivery of goods.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures by inspecting shipments to confirm products meet exact order specifications and grade standards.
- Lead, recruit, train, supervise, and mentor the procurement team, conducting performance reviews and fostering a motivated, high-performing work culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in purchasing or inventory management, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective vendor management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team supervision and professional development.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
