About the Role
Puffin Group LTD is a dynamic multi-industry business group operating across Agro-Allied, Construction, Energy, Consulting, Logistics, and Import-Export sectors. Puffin Energy, our renewable energy arm, delivers clean, affordable, and sustainable solar and hybrid power solutions to residential, commercial, industrial, and government clients across Nigeria. As we expand our portfolio, we are looking for a commercially astute and technically proficient Assistant Manager to drive our solar and hybrid energy projects to success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the complete lifecycle of solar, inverter, battery storage, and hybrid energy projects from initial concept and client engagement to commissioning and handover.
- Provide strategic business leadership and technical oversight to project managers, engineers, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage project planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance to ensure safe and timely delivery.
- Drive business development efforts by identifying new commercial opportunities and converting them into profitable energy solutions.
- Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, including 3 to 5 years in a management or senior supervisory role within the renewable energy or power sector.
- Demonstrable expertise in designing, managing, and delivering end-to-end solar PV and hybrid energy systems.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in project budgeting, cost control, and business development.
