About the Role

The Institute of Directors Nigeria (IoD Nigeria) is a premier professional institute dedicated to promoting directorship, developing corporate governance, and representing members to government. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Manager, Human Resources to support our Head of HR & Administration in driving effective human capital management, enhancing employee experience, and streamlining administrative operations. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate key HR processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant service delivery across the Institute.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities, including vacancy identification, sourcing, candidate screening, testing, interview administration, offer documentation, and seamless onboarding.
  • Support training needs assessments, develop annual learning and development plans, and coordinate internal, external, and statutory training initiatives such as ITF compliance.
  • Facilitate the performance management and appraisal cycle, maintain accurate performance records, and support employee relations, staff welfare, and grievance handling.
  • Maintain comprehensive manpower and personnel records while supporting accurate payroll inputs for joiners, changes, and leavers.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, stay and exit interviews, and continuous improvements in working conditions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Human Resource Management (such as CIPM) is a strong advantage.
  • 5 to 7 years of total work experience, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on HR experience.
  • Prior experience in a professional, corporate, or membership-based organization is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant HR or administrative software applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR operations, the employee lifecycle, and administrative best practices.
