Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Design, update, and evaluate course curricula in alignment with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
  • Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and clinical fieldwork placements.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to department growth.
  • Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties.
  • Engage in community outreach programs and clinical partnerships to promote speech and language awareness in Nigeria.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a First Degree with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a Second-Class Lower Division First Degree accompanied by a completed PhD will be considered.
  • Must hold a Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a closely related discipline.
  • Must be currently enrolled in or have an active PhD in progress, demonstrating clear evidence of academic research potential.
  • Prior teaching, clinical practice, or research experience in a tertiary institution is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills tailored for academic environments.
