Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Assistant Lecturer, you will be responsible for the following academic and administrative duties:
- Deliver undergraduate lectures and conduct practical laboratory sessions in Science Laboratory Technology.
- Assess, grade, and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, practical reports, and examinations.
- Assist in the development and updating of curriculum materials and laboratory manuals.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects and provide academic mentoring and career guidance.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university events.
- Engage in continuous academic research, publication, and professional development.
To be considered for this academic position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a good Bachelor's degree (minimum of Second Class Honours) in Science Laboratory Technology or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Hold a Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, learning, and academic research.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Membership in relevant professional scientific bodies will be an added advantage.
