The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Lecturer to join the Department of Communication and Media Studies. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures and tutorials in Public Relations and related communication courses.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum modules in line with NUC standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, internships, and academic assignments.
- Conduct high-quality, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their professional and personal growth.
- A first degree (Bachelor's) with not below a Second-Class Upper Division in Mass Communication, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
- Alternatively, a Second-Class Lower Division first degree accompanied by a completed PhD.
- A Master's degree in Public Relations or Media Studies with a PhD currently in progress.
