About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Lecturer in Public Health to join the Department of Nursing Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical sessions for undergraduate students in Public Health and Nursing Sciences.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in line with NUC guidelines.
- Conduct impactful academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed, reputable local and international journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic assignments.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, meetings, and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a First Degree (Bachelor's) with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized university.
- Alternatively, a Second-Class Lower Division First Degree accompanied by a completed PhD.
- A relevant Master's Degree in Public Health or a closely related field.
- Must currently have a PhD in progress with verifiable evidence of research potential or prior teaching experience.
