About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and passionate academic professional to join our esteemed Department of Nursing Sciences as an Assistant Lecturer in Public and Community Health Nursing. In this role, you will contribute to the intellectual growth of our students, advance nursing research, and uphold the high academic standards of a leading federal university in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Public and Community Health Nursing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop curriculum materials and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, fieldwork, and clinical practicums.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in academic conferences.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to nursing students.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and community service initiatives.
- Possession of a First Degree in Nursing Science not below a Second-Class Upper Division from a recognized institution.
- A relevant Master Degree in Public Health Nursing or Community Health Nursing.
- Must have a PhD currently in progress with documented evidence of teaching and research potential or relevant academic experience.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
