About the Role
Vision University is a newly established, private, faith-based university located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria. Granted its provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering world-class tertiary education. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our academic team as an Assistant Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Science.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions to undergraduate students in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with NUC guidelines.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, practical training, and field placements.
- Participate in student academic advising, mentoring, and continuous assessment grading.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, committee work, and general administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Possess a good Master's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related relevant discipline with a CGPA suitable to qualify the candidate for a Ph.D. programme.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills suited for a university environment.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Council of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is highly desirable.
