About the Role
Vision University, a newly established private, faith-based institution located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and qualified individual to join our academic staff as an Assistant Lecturer in Mass Communication. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering academic excellence and high moral standards in higher education.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical training sessions in Mass Communication courses.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research assignments, and academic portfolios.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Conduct impactful academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Assist in the administration of examinations, grading, and continuous assessment records.
- Must possess a good Master's degree in Mass Communication or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Academic standing (CGPA) at the Master's level must be sufficient to qualify for a Ph.D. program.
- Demonstrated potential or proven track record in academic research and scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to the faith-based values and ethical standards of Vision University.
- Prior teaching or industry experience in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, or advertising is an added advantage.
