About the Role
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer in History and International Studies to join our vibrant academic community. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in History and International Studies to undergraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review course materials, syllabi, and curriculum structures in line with university standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, essays, and academic fieldworks.
- Conduct original research and publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and university community service initiatives.
- Advise students on academic progression, career paths, and professional development.
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in History, International Studies, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral registration will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publications.
