We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in English and Literary Studies to join our esteemed faculty and help shape the communication and analytical skills of our future healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and tutorials in English and Literary Studies to undergraduate nursing and health science students.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with institutional and national educational standards.
- Assess and grade student assignments, essays, projects, and examinations, providing constructive and timely feedback.
- Mentor and advise students on academic performance, personal development, and career pathways within the health sciences sector.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and college events to support institutional growth.
- Engage in continuous professional development, research, and scholarly writing within the discipline of English and Literary Studies.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), or equivalent degree in English or Literary Studies from a recognized and accredited university.
- A Master's degree or progress toward postgraduate studies in English, Literature, or related fields will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex literary and linguistic concepts clearly to diverse student bodies.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills with a passion for teaching in a tertiary healthcare institution.
