About the Role
Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is seeking a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer to join our prestigious Department of Science Education. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate students in the Department of Science Education.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with university standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student teaching practice exercises.
- Conduct relevant academic research and publish findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings and administrative duties.
- Advise and mentor students on academic progress, career pathways, and personal development.
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Science Education or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Ph.D. in view or completed is a strong added advantage.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and scholarly research.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Membership in relevant professional educational bodies will be an advantage.
