Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria, a reputable private conventional university established in 2005, is seeking a passionate and qualified Assistant Lecturer to join the Department of Biological Sciences within the College of Natural Sciences. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Biology, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content to meet academic standards.
- Conduct high-quality academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic activities.
- Assess student assignments, examinations, and practical reports, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee work, and university-wide academic events.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on academic, moral, and career development.
- Possess a minimum of a Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a closely related field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated potential for academic research and scholarly publications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- High level of professional integrity, moral standing, and dedication to institutional values.
- Prior teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution will be an added advantage.
