About the Role
Vision University is a newly established, private, faith-based university located in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria. Granted its provisional operating licence by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to academic excellence and moral development. We are currently seeking a dynamic and qualified Assistant Lecturer in Cyber Security to join our pioneering academic team.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in cyber security and related computing courses.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with NUC and industry standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research assignments, and academic progress.
- Conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees as well as community service initiatives.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students within a faith-based framework.
- Must possess a good Master's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline with a CGPA suitable to qualify the candidate for a Ph.D. programme.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching, research, and academic leadership.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and digital literacy skills.
- Membership in relevant professional IT or cybersecurity bodies will be an added advantage.
