About the Role
Vision University, a dynamic and fast-growing private faith-based institution in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, is seeking a passionate and qualified academic professional to join our Department of Computer Science as an Assistant Lecturer. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), we are committed to delivering academic excellence and holistic student development in a vibrant campus community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in core Computer Science courses.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and innovative curriculum content aligned with NUC standards.
- Mentor undergraduate students, providing academic guidance, career counseling, and support for their overall development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and university-wide academic events.
- Conduct impactful research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the institution's academic reputation.
- Assist in the supervision of undergraduate student projects and participate in continuous assessment and grading of examinations.
- Engage in community service initiatives and contribute to the growth and development of Vision University.
- Candidates must possess a good Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related relevant discipline with a competitive CGPA that qualifies the candidate for a Ph.D. programme.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and active academic research in higher education.
