About the Role
The Royal College of Nursing Sciences, Ezzangbo (RCONSE), located in Umuagara, Ezzangbo, Ebonyi State, is a premier private higher education institution dedicated to training globally competitive, disciplined, and skilled healthcare and allied professionals. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Lecturer in Computer Science to join our academic faculty. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality computer science education, equipping our nursing and healthcare students with essential digital literacy and technological competencies required in modern medical environments.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Computer Science and related Information Technology courses to undergraduate students.
- Develop and update comprehensive course materials, syllabi, and evaluation tools in alignment with institutional and national accreditation standards.
- Supervise student research projects, academic assignments, and practical IT applications relevant to healthcare informatics.
- Administer examinations, grade assessments, and provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their academic performance.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development committees, and academic board activities.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, supporting their professional and personal growth throughout their program.
- Must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Must possess a valid National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or official exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to utilize modern educational technology and learning management systems for effective instructional delivery.
- Prior teaching or research experience in a tertiary institution will be an added advantage.
