We are currently looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Assistant Lecturer in Biostatistics to contribute to our dynamic academic environment and mentor aspiring nurses and healthcare workers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions in Biostatistics to undergraduate nursing and health science students.
- Develop, update, and review course materials, syllabi, and curriculum content in alignment with national accreditation standards.
- Design, administer, and grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations to accurately assess student understanding and progress.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to support their overall professional development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and college-wide academic events.
- Engage in continuous professional development, scholarly research, and institutional community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or equivalent in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Prior teaching, tutoring, or research experience within a tertiary educational institution is a strong advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex statistical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in using modern data analysis software and educational technology tools.
