About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier healthcare and educational institution established in 1971, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant IT Support Technologist to join our vibrant technology team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure, delivering prompt technical support, and maintaining hardware and software systems to support our mission of excellence in healthcare delivery and medical education.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across various hospital departments.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and routine maintenance of computer systems, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of all IT assets and equipment deployed within the facility.
- Collaborate with senior IT personnel to diagnose complex technical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure data security protocols and institutional IT policies are strictly adhered to by end-users.
- Provide basic training and technical guidance to hospital staff on standard software applications and hardware usage.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Computer Science or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and network fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
