About the Role
AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the day-old chicks and poultry industry, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Fleet Manager. In this vital role, you will support the Fleet Manager in ensuring our extensive commercial fleet remains highly available, cost-effective, and fully compliant with safety and regulatory standards to drive our nationwide agricultural operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor daily vehicle availability, utilization, movement, and operational status to support dispatch and field operations.
- Coordinate routine servicing, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Track fuel consumption, maintain accurate mileage and maintenance records, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure all company vehicles are properly documented, licensed, insured, and compliant with Nigerian transport regulations.
- Supervise driver compliance with approved routes, schedules, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Manage relationships with external workshops, insurance providers, and fleet vendors.
- Utilize fleet tracking systems to monitor movements, investigate unauthorized usage, and respond swiftly to breakdowns or accidents.
- Prepare comprehensive regular reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and incident tracking.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics operations.
- Prior experience within FMCG, agriculture, manufacturing, or commercial transport sectors is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in fleet tracking technologies, Microsoft Excel, and operational reporting tools.
