About the Role

AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the day-old chicks and poultry industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Fleet Manager to join our dynamic logistics team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our operational vehicles are consistently available, fully roadworthy, and efficiently utilized to support our nationwide agricultural supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Fleet Manager in the daily coordination, monitoring, and optimization of company vehicle availability, utilization, and movement.
  • Oversee routine servicing, preventive maintenance, repairs, and vehicle inspections to minimize operational downtime and reduce costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of fuel consumption, mileage, repairs, and insurance documentation while enforcing strict compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor GPS tracking systems to investigate unusual routes and ensure driver adherence to safety policies and approved schedules.
  • Liaise with external workshops, insurance companies, and vendors to resolve vehicle breakdowns and accidents promptly.
  • Prepare regular analytical reports on fleet performance, fuel efficiency, maintenance expenses, and overall uptime.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor Degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics operations.
  • Prior working experience within the FMCG, agriculture, poultry, or manufacturing sectors will be a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in using fleet tracking software, Microsoft Excel, and other data reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive, cost-conscious mindset.
