About the Role
AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the Day Old Chicks market committed to providing exceptional quality products and services for profitable poultry farming, is seeking a skilled and driven Assistant Farm Manager. In this role, you will support the Farm Manager in coordinating daily operations, ensuring strict compliance with biosecurity and animal welfare standards, and supervising farm personnel to achieve production targets across our breeder, broiler, or layer operations.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily poultry farm operations, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and animal welfare standards.
- Monitor flock performance indicators including mortality, feed intake, weight gain, egg production, fertility, and hatchability.
- Manage farm personnel, providing guidance and support to farm supervisors and attendants.
- Oversee feeding, watering, vaccination, medication, and overall environmental management of birds.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for feed and consumables to minimize waste.
- Implement production plans and prepare periodic operational reports for management.
- Collaborate with veterinarians and maintenance teams to ensure facility efficiency and disease prevention.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Animal Science, Animal Production, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in commercial poultry production and farm management.
- Strong technical expertise in poultry husbandry, nutrition, vaccination, and biosecurity protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong data analysis capabilities.
