About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Assistant Chief Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic team in Mowe, Ogun State. In this pivotal role, you will manage laboratory facilities, ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, and provide technical support for both teaching and research activities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily operations and maintenance of university laboratories to ensure optimal functionality.
- Provide technical support for academic practicals, demonstrations, and advanced research projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within all laboratory spaces.
- Manage the inventory, procurement, and proper storage of laboratory chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff and students on standard operating procedures and equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory usage, equipment maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or a Master's degree in Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 9 years of post-qualification cognate experience for B.Sc. holders, or at least 6 years for Master's degree holders.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing academic or industrial laboratory environments.
- Strong knowledge of modern laboratory equipment, safety regulations, and quality control.
