About the Role

International Medical Corps is seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant, Accountability and Effectiveness to join our dynamic humanitarian team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our life-saving programs uphold the highest standards of accountability, community engagement, and protection mainstreaming. You will act as a primary focal point for managing community-based feedback and response mechanisms, helping crisis-affected populations voice their needs, hold us accountable, and actively shape their own recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Accountability and Effectiveness team in implementing community engagement strategies and Core Humanitarian Standards commitments.
  • Collect, document, and manage feedback and complaints received through various Community Based Feedback and Response Mechanism channels.
  • Enter data promptly and accurately into the central database, tracking cases from receipt through resolution and closure.
  • Assist in conducting protection risk assessments and maintaining updated Protection Mainstreaming Action Plans.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external service providers to ensure beneficiary feedback is properly addressed and communicated back to communities.
  • Assist in organizing field visits to monitor data collection processes and ensure proper placement of suggestion boxes and informational signage.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in social sciences, public health, statistics, international development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with a humanitarian organization working with refugees or internally displaced persons.
  • Demonstrated experience in database entry, data management, and basic accountability mechanisms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in English and high-level proficiency in the local country-specific language.
  • High computer literacy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
