About the Role

We are currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Assembly Supervisor to lead our client's manufacturing floor operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will drive operational excellence, ensure strict adherence to quality standards, and manage assembly line teams to achieve ambitious production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily activities and strategically allocate workers across assembly lines to meet or exceed production goals.
- Monitor output closely for defects, enforcing strict adherence to product specifications and company quality standards.
- Resolve operational bottlenecks, material shortages, and mechanical issues quickly and effectively on the shop floor.
- Train assembly operators thoroughly on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), proper tool handling, and workplace safety rules.
- Maintain accurate daily logs detailing output, downtime, manpower utilization, and shift handovers.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S or similar factory organization methods.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Stores departments to keep production lines running smoothly.
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or Natural Sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical manufacturing experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically obtained within the plastics production industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and motivating shop floor teams.
