About the Role
CHI Limited, a leading and highly admired name in the Nigerian Food and Beverages industry, is renowned for iconic brands like Chivita and Hollandia. We are currently looking for a talented and dedicated Argon Welder to support our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the expert fabrication, repair, and maintenance of stainless steel media lines, ensuring our production processes run at optimal efficiency and adhere to the highest international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision TIG and argon welding of stainless steel media lines, pipes, fittings, and associated components according to approved technical specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on media lines, escalating complex mechanical issues promptly.
- Review and obtain proper approval for all job orders prior to execution while maintaining meticulous maintenance and fabrication logs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized workshop adhering strictly to 5S methodology and equipment upkeep protocols.
- Ensure uncompromising compliance with company safety regulations, environmental policies, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Relevant technical qualification in Welding and Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a recognized equivalent discipline.
- Demonstrated practical experience in TIG/argon welding, with a specialized focus on stainless steel fabrication and pipework.
- Proven ability to accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and piping schematics.
- Sound understanding of welding quality standards, non-destructive defect identification, and leak-proof joint construction.
