About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL), in operation since 1982, is a premier provider of catering and facilities management services to the upstream oil and gas sector, alongside our affiliated entity Adasa Catering Services Ltd serving non-oil and gas industries. We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer - Plumber to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing all plumbing systems, fixtures, and piping infrastructure to ensure seamless daily facility operations.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair various plumbing systems, pipes, fixtures, and fittings in commercial facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing infrastructure to identify leaks, blockages, or wear and tear before they escalate.
- Respond promptly to emergency plumbing maintenance requests and execute effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with the broader facilities management team to ensure all plumbing works comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment, submitting timely requests for replacements.
- Prepare periodic maintenance reports detailing completed repairs, ongoing projects, and facility needs.
- Relevant trade certification, City and Guilds, OND, or equivalent qualification in plumbing or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience as a plumber, preferably within the facilities management or corporate sector.
- Strong working knowledge of modern plumbing techniques, safety regulations, and blueprint reading.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a reliable, detail-oriented approach to daily tasks.
