About the Role
Slum2School Africa is a leading volunteer-driven developmental organization dedicated to transforming society by empowering disadvantaged children to realize their full potential. Since 2012, we have addressed critical shortcomings in the African educational sector by providing scholarships, building innovative learning spaces, and offering comprehensive psychosocial support to vulnerable children in slums and indigent communities. We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to drive our supply chain operations and ensure the efficient acquisition of quality goods and services for our impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with the organizational goals of Slum2School Africa.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, contract management, and purchase order execution.
- Evaluate and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, high quality, and timely delivery of educational materials and infrastructure resources.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate closely with project teams to forecast material requirements accurately.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance metrics to support transparent auditing and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain operations, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
