About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and technically skilled Application Support Engineer to ensure the availability, stability, and optimal performance of critical banking applications and digital financial platforms in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Resolve daily support issues reported by customers and processors within established SLAs while meticulously documenting troubleshooting processes.
- Ensure high availability and optimal performance of non-core banking platforms, digital channels, and enterprise systems.
- Participate actively in application testing, software deployments, and the implementation of new business solutions.
- Monitor system capacity, analyze application logs, and optimize system performance through proactive maintenance.
- Ensure full compliance with technology processes, IT risk management, business continuity protocols, and security procedures.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, infrastructure teams, third-party vendors, and business stakeholders to resolve complex technical incidents.
- Provide timely management reports and operational insights to the Team Lead of Technology Applications.
- Minimum of a Second Class Lower degree in a relevant discipline and/or recognized professional IT qualifications.
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL scripting (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL).
- Familiarity with programming or automation languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows Server and Linux) and web application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere).
- Demonstrated experience supporting financial systems, payment gateways, card management systems, or core/digital banking platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
