We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Anti-Fraud Officer to join our growing risk management team in Nigeria and help protect our business from emerging financial threats.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate high-default risk accounts closely to determine whether the provided customer information is authentic or fabricated.
- Audit recently approved loan applications to identify missed warning signs, policy gaps, and potential red flags.
- Review active loan cases within 72 hours of disbursement to confirm device ownership, evaluate sales targeting accuracy, and detect early repayment risks.
- Flag fraudulent behaviors such as falsified images, inflated income declarations, or collusion with sales agents, and coordinate immediate action with the field collection team.
- Maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation of all fraud investigations to ensure seamless team communication.
- Conduct daily reviews of loss and stolen account cases utilizing relevant internal reports and data tools.
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in risk management, finance, customer service, or data entry, with a demonstrated passion for fraud prevention.
- Basic data analysis skills with proficiency in spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for sorting and evaluating customer information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of explaining complex findings clearly and simply.
