About the Role
Eko Maintenance Limited is a rapidly growing facility management company specializing in the maintenance of high-rise building facilities, with our office located in Victoria Island, Lagos. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HSE Officer to join our dynamic team and champion our health, safety, and environmental standards across all operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Compile, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety programs and standards to ensure consistency across operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and sites to identify potential hazards and ensure strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor technicians and ensure they consistently wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while practicing safe working techniques.
- Identify hazardous waste and oversee its safe and correct disposal in line with environmental guidelines.
- Conduct regular toolbox meetings to share best practice techniques and promote a strong safety culture among staff.
- Compile and maintain relevant compliance registers, document staff information, record meeting minutes, and prepare reports for management.
- Establish and maintain cordial, professional relationships with employees to foster open communication regarding safety concerns.
- Possession of a Bachelor Degree or HND qualification in a relevant discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven work experience in a similar Health, Safety, and Environment role, preferably within facility management or construction.
- Professional certifications in HSE, ISO, and NEBOSH will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian safety regulations and hazard identification protocols.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
