We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic technology team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, building, and maintaining advanced applications for the Android platform, collaborating closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality mobile solutions that redefine the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain advanced, high-performance applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers to define, design, and ship new mobile features.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries seamlessly to ensure robust application functionality.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and testable code while participating in rigorous code reviews.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously optimize application performance, responsiveness, and memory usage.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging Android development trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java with proven experience shipping apps to the Google Play Store.
- Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Jetpack components, and architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVP.
- Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles, Material Design guidelines, and responsive layouts.
- Experience with Git version control, unit testing frameworks, and debugging tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous Fintech, banking, or startup experience is an added advantage.
