We are looking for a talented Android Developer with strong Kotlin expertise to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain robust mobile applications for the Android platform, ensuring exceptional performance, reliability, and seamless user experiences while collaborating with cross-functional product and design teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain advanced, high-performance applications for the Android platform using Kotlin.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services seamlessly into Android applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following industry best practices and Android design guidelines.
- Troubleshoot, test, debug, and continuously optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and mentor junior team members.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging Android technologies, trends, and architectural patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Android app development using Kotlin, supported by the Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Solid understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles, responsive layouts, and Material Design guidelines.
- Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend services into mobile applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, and agile development methodologies.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience in a fintech, banking, or fast-paced tech startup environment will be a distinct advantage.
