About the Role
Solid Rock Hospital (SRH) has built its foundation on the principles of Christ, delivering personalized healthcare services with the impact of a large medical system. We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Ambulance Driver / Hospital Driver to join our dedicated team in Lagos. In this vital role, you will ensure the prompt and safe transportation of patients and support the hospital's logistical needs while maintaining high standards of professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport patients to and from the hospital, referral centres, and other designated medical locations.
- Drive other hospital vehicles for official assignments as directed by management.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of patients in collaboration with clinical staff.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and readiness for use at all times.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report faults or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Comply strictly with traffic regulations, hospital policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Respond promptly and calmly to authorised transportation requests, including medical emergencies.
- Minimum of an SSCE or equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid Nigerian driver's licence appropriate for driving ambulances and utility vehicles.
- At least 3 years of professional driving experience; prior ambulance or hospital driving experience is a strong added advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of Lagos roads, major routes, and traffic regulations.
- Basic knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance and first aid administration.
- Must be reliable, punctual, courteous, disciplined, and highly safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
