About the Role

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Ikoyi, Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining robust financial operations, ensuring compliance, and fostering strong vendor relationships as we continue to contribute to Nigeria's socio-economic development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices within 24 hours and ensure payments are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents while verifying approvals and compliance.
  • Ensure there is no duplication or overstatement of invoices and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date vendor payable records using Excel and ERP systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports and reconcile vendor payments.
  • Maintain organized physical and electronic records of processed invoices.
  • Respond to vendor payment enquiries and follow up with business units on outstanding payments.
  • Monitor essential service payments to prevent disruption of services and follow up on outstanding IOUs.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Degree or relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Finance, Accounting, or Administration.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliation, vendor management, and financial documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
