About the Role
Fibrehub Internetworking Limited, a leading telecommunication and Information Technology service company, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Accounts Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining our financial health, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting our strategic business objectives within the highly competitive Nigerian tech sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries for all company transactions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control activities to optimize operational efficiency.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer debts to ensure timely collections.
- Liaise with procurement and operations teams to verify purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payment requests.
- Process and reconcile customer payments, invoices, receipts, and vendor payments.
- Ensure timely bank payments and manage petty cash with proper documentation of all expenses.
- Verify and process staff reimbursements, expense claims, and monthly payroll.
- Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure full compliance with statutory regulations.
- Manage balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and report on company liquidity.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required financial documentation.
- Utilize QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel to record and monitor financial transactions accurately.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 5 years of proven professional accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and Nigerian tax compliance.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
