About the Role
The Label Store is a leading retail supermarket dedicated to providing customers with quality groceries, household products, and excellent customer service in a convenient shopping environment. We are currently seeking a responsible and experienced Accounts Executive to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our company's financial records, reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring that management has access to accurate financial insights for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Generate accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and operational budgets.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies and robust internal controls.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable efficiently.
- Monitor daily cash flow, operational expenses, revenues, and overall financial activities.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Perform daily sales and bank statement reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation, organization, and secure filing of all financial records.
- Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in an accounting or finance role within a structured corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Retailman, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- ICAN or ACCA certification (or active part-qualification) will be a strong added advantage.
- Previous working experience in the retail supermarket or fast-moving consumer goods industry is highly preferred.
