About the Role
Dabitos Schools is a reputable private, co-educational learning institution located in Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria, offering comprehensive education from crèche through secondary school levels. We are currently looking for a passionate and qualified Accounting Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. In this role, you will inspire students, simplify complex financial concepts, and foster a strong foundation in accounting principles, preparing them for academic excellence and future professional success.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured accounting lessons to secondary school students in accordance with the Nigerian educational curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and grading assignments, quizzes, and examinations promptly.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active student participation and critical thinking.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and behavioral development.
- Participate in school-wide events, staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development programs.
- Guide students on career paths related to finance, accounting, and business management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Education, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ANAN) will be an added advantage.
- Proven teaching experience as an Accounting Teacher within a recognized secondary school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum and WAEC/NECO examination standards.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Strong passion for teaching and mentoring young minds toward academic and moral excellence.
- Residency in or close proximity to Ilasamaja, Mushin, or surrounding areas in Lagos State is highly preferred.
