About the Role
Woodridge and Scott Consulting is a premier Consulting, Customer Experience Management, and Human Capital Development organization. We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a dynamic IT and Computer Hardware Sales and Distribution Company based in Ikeja, Lagos, for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the daily accounting operations, maintaining financial integrity, and ensuring smooth fiscal management within a fast-paced retail and distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate accounting records and process daily financial transactions efficiently.
- Reconcile sales, bank accounts, receipts, and payments on a regular basis.
- Monitor customer accounts, follow up on outstanding debts, and manage supplier balances.
- Assist with routine inventory reconciliation and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Prepare timely financial reports and provide support for tax documentation and statutory compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation and strict adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Accountancy, or possession of an ICAN ATS qualification.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working familiarity with modern accounting software.
- Strong numerical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
