About the Role
Steron Mining Company Limited is seeking a dedicated and analytical Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our operations by ensuring precise bookkeeping, compliance, and efficient processing of daily financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Process and post daily financial transactions accurately, including invoices, payments, and journal entries.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date financial records in full compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist the finance team in preparing regular financial reports, bank reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Input financial data into accounting software efficiently, maintaining high standards of data integrity.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls, standard operating procedures, and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
- National Diploma in Accounting or possession of an Accounting Technician qualification (such as ICAN or AAT).
- 1 to 2 years of proven hands-on experience in an accounting or closely related financial role.
- Basic computer literacy with verified proficiency in popular accounting software like QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
