We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Account Officer to join our dynamic finance team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting fiscal operations, and contributing to the continued success of our high-profile real estate projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial reports, statements, and budgets to assist management in strategic decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal financial controls, company policies, and relevant Nigerian tax regulations.
- Handle payroll processing, expense tracking, and invoice verifications efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate seamless financial audits and reviews.
- Monitor project-specific expenditures, particularly within our construction and real estate development portfolios.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on accounting and financial management experience.
- Active relevant professional certifications such as ICAN or ACCA.
- Prior working experience in the real estate or construction industry will be a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
