About the Role
Green Africa, Nigeria's quality airline based in Lagos, is looking for a dynamic and driven Accounting and Finance Operation Intern to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records, including general ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts.
- Process supplier and vendor invoices efficiently to ensure timely and authorised payments within accounts payable.
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Support daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities and financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of tax-related documentation and support internal and external audit requirements.
- Adhere strictly to established company accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Must have successfully completed the mandatory NYSC program.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable operations.
- Familiarity with modern accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong communication skills.
