About the Role

Based at our vibrant campus in Mowe, Ogun State, this role sits within the Bursary Department and plays a vital part in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our institution. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budget variance analyses, and periodic financial statements for management review.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of robust internal control systems to safeguard university assets.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors during periodic financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Process staff salaries, pension remittances, tax deductions, and statutory payments in adherence to Nigerian financial laws.
  • Manage student fee reconciliation, payment verifications, and financial record-keeping within the Bursary Department.
  • Perform any other financial and administrative duties as assigned by the Bursar or university management.

Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess a minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Must have 3 to 6 years of post-qualification cognate accounting experience, preferably within the tertiary education sector or a corporate environment.
  • Professional certification or active progress toward ICAN, ANAN, or equivalent recognized accounting bodies is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and public sector accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with high ethical standards and attention to detail.
