About the Role
MTN Nigeria, Africa's leading telecommunications company, is looking for a dedicated and analytical Accountant to join our Finance Services and Control Technology division. In this vital role, you will drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for the Network Group, ensuring optimal cost control and alignment with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Support comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities for the Network Group in alignment with corporate goals.
- Prepare and analyze Network OPEX budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to deliver actionable financial insights.
- Coordinate the consolidation, review, and reporting of Network financial performance and key cost drivers.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tower lease cost reports, analyzing lease escalations and tenancy impacts.
- Monitor financial risks and champion cost optimization initiatives to enhance overall budget performance.
- Develop and maintain dynamic Network Finance dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations.
- Conduct advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ad hoc business analytics.
- Partner cross-functionally with Network, TowerCo, Procurement, and IS teams to ensure data integrity and seamless reporting.
- First degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any relevant business discipline.
- A recognized professional accounting qualification such as ACA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant financial experience, preferably within a leading organization or medium-sized enterprise.
- Demonstrated experience working with enterprise financial systems and telecommunications background is an advantage.
- Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills with complete fluency in English.
