About the Role
Rekopel Resources Ltd, a leading and fast-growing hospitality brand with major branches across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, is seeking a seasoned and detail-oriented Accountant for our Abuja II location. We pride ourselves on delivering unique and exemplary hospitality services, and we are looking for a dedicated finance professional to uphold our high standards of financial management, compliance, and internal control.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts and oversee daily revenue ledgers.
- Ensure timely preparation and payment schedules for all statutory dues.
- Collaborate with management and the internal audit unit to formulate, review, and recommend robust internal control procedures.
- Monitor and ensure all operational expenses remain within approved budget limits and follow proper authorization protocols.
- Supervise monthly stock-taking, stock reconciliation, and inventory management procedures.
- Prepare or supervise monthly bank reconciliation statements.
- Liaise with procurement and store departments for creditor payment schedules, and coordinate with the front desk manager for receivables computation.
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise a large team of accounts staff and cashiers.
- Minimum of HND or B.Sc in Accounting.
- Professional certification such as ICAN AAT, with advanced stages in ICAN being a strong added advantage. Candidates with ICAN Foundation or AAT2 with relevant hospitality experience are also welcome to apply.
- At least 6 years of professional accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years specifically gained in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and at least one recognized accounting software.
